Bamboozled
Imagine a parallel world where no one was bothered about the internet, and instead, they were mad on Teletext. People would walk around with miniature televisions in their pockets, and instead of uploading photos of their meals to Instagram, they’d spend countless hours playing that quiz game, Bamboozle.
Back in 1998, science fiction writers could have written about this and it might have almost seemed believable. Obviously it didn’t pan out that way, but when cramped on a busy train filled with commuters mindlessly scrolling through nonsense, it’s nice to dream of this highly-pixelated utopia.
Oh, and if you were wondering what this has got to do with that lad in the picture, well, he’s wearing jeans made out of bamboo. You can’t spell Bamboozle without bamboo.
