*** Oi Polloi x Fred Perry presents: Terry-Perry — Available from 00:01 (BST) 29.07.21 ***

Taking its name from the Hans Christian Andersen tale, The Emperor’s New Clothes, Ten c aims to look past mere exercises in branding to create timeless jackets that last a lifetime. This all sounds like a bit of a bold statement until you realise that Ten c is the brainchild of ex-Stone Island man Paul Harvey and Allesandro Pungetti, of CP Company/Esemplare fame. Both renowned perfectionists, they’re responsible for making some of the most innovative garm’s around, so if they say these will still be looking fresh when we’ve kicked the bucket, we believe them.

With no logos and no baloney, the focus with Ten c is solely on the jackets. And what jackets they are… All based around time-honoured shapes from the outerwear history books, they’ve been cut back to the essentials, but as you’d expect from two pupils of the Massimo Osti school of innovation, the fabric is outstanding. All the Ten c jackets are made from an extremely dense knitted nylon/polyester micro-fibre that’s both waterproof and breathable. Whilst we cannot confirm or deny this statement, we’ve heard it’s the same fabric that’s used on Bentley soft-top roofs, which gives you some idea of how tough it is. Fairly similar to the Stone Island micro-fibre, it feels velvety whilst still being sturdy enough to almost stand up on its own. Ten c compare these jackets to a good pair of raw-denim jeans, as after a bit of wear it will shape to your body and become ‘Your jacket’.
