These stout slacks you’re currently salivating over Nanga’s Takibi Field Over Pants. ‘Tabiki’ means ‘fire’ in Japanese, so it should come as no surprise that these are made from some mighty fine, flame-resistant woven polyester stuff that feels damn near indestructible, and should offer a bit of protection next time a group of adolescent ruffians shoot fireworks at you on your way to the off-license. We can’t let you leave without giving you an ear-bashing about that pocket configuration either – rather than the usual patch or welt pockets backside, Nanga has decided to repeat a slash pocket arrangement at the rear, as well as the front. Why? We’re not entirely sure. Looks good though.
