Scottish schmutter specialists, Kestin, brings forth, what they like to call, the Salamander Jacket. Based on a somewhat classic blueprint of those 1950’s hunting jackets, it boasts a quadrat of cavernous pockets (that, when fully inflated, could stow a land rover’s worth of kit in their confines), and a rather slick series of shoulder-side pleating, which nods to streamlined shapes from bygone eras. What’s particularly mind-mincing about this one though is the raised ‘n’ rugged textural excellence of that cotton-blend cloth, which when topped off with an corduroy collar in the same ecru-hue, is a bonafide treat unto the eyeballs and even more so to the soul.
