- Double thickness canvas upper
- Higher rubber midsole
- Allstar heel tab
- Not as narrow as standard Converse
The 1970’s Chuck Taylor All Taylor All Star Hi shoes are a straight-up recreation of what high-top Chucks were like in the 70s. With much thicker canvas, a higher sole and a slightly wider fit, they’re a much more substantial pair of trainers than their modern-day counterparts, and have a ‘stoutness’ you wouldn’t usually associate with a pair of Converse.
For those who are wondering, these are pretty much exactly the same as the ‘First String’ ones we got last year. The only difference we can spot is that they’ve got a slightly different heel tab and heel panel.
