Páramo was founded in 1992 by an intrepid hiker and all-round thoughtful chap named Nick Brown.
Mr Brown saw a fundamental flaw in the way that waterproof fabrics worked in the never-quite-hot, never-quite-cold weather in Britain, and set out to make a fabric that was waterproof and breathable.
After plenty of tinkering, this idea blossomed into what we know now as Páramo’s time-honoured ‘directional’ fabric.
Forward-thinking future-fabrics aside, this lot have a real deal dedication to the environment, and design their wares to be both long-lasting and easily repairable.
Pretty good, right?
