If you’re a Clarks fanatic you’ve probably heard of Padmore & Barnes.
From 1964 up until 1987 this Irish footwear manufacturer was in charge of making Wallabees, Weavers and a whole host of suede-based beauties for everyone’s favourite Somerset shoe company.
After Clarks moved production to Asia this lot were left with the original lasts, and so carried on doing what they’d always done — making ultra-comfy moccasins.
Buttery suede and sturdy crepe soles don’t come much better than this.
