Here we’ve got Nike’s Air Max2 Light, showing their trainery faces for the first time since their debut in 1994. In case you couldn’t tell from their moniker, these were the second shoes to feature Nike’s innovative Air sole unit, and were designed primarily with the majestic sport of running in mind, meaning they were made to be thinner and more ‘streamlined’ than their chunky predecessors.
After 24 long years in the archives, Nike has tastefully recreated the Air Max2 Light and updated them for 21st century-wear with sturdy textile uppers, sleek leather and suede detailing, and a proper bouncy Air sole unit. Seinfeld-appreciators across the land should be teary-eyed at the sight of these beauties.
