Designed with the rigours of Scandinavian school-life in mind, the Fjällräven Kånken bag has been around for a long time now, and for good reason. It’s a versatile beast that can be carried like a backpack or a carrier bag and even has a pull-out pad for sitting on wet grass.
As an interesting side note the Kånken was once seen as a symbol of liberal views and was nicknamed, “the communist humpback,” which probably explains the newspaper pocket on the side for your Guardian, and the fact that all climate impacts from production and transportation have been offset. Rest easy earth-children.
And for those wondering, this eye-catching, art gallery-friendly version has been designed by Swedish artist Erik Olovsson. Very classy.
