Holubar is an American outdoor company that have been making serious jackets since 1946. Started by keen hikers Alice and Roy Holubar in the couple’s basement in Boulder, Colorado, the brand pioneered a lot of things that are taken for granted these days, such as the use of nylon and the classic mountain parka design.
These days, not much has changed. Although Holubar is now ran out of Italy, the jackets are still the same, no nonsense, designs that’ll keep you warm when you’re trapped under a snowdrift.
Oh, and before you ask, yes — Holubar is the company who made that amazing orange jacket that Bobby De Niro wears in The Deer Hunter.
