Now we’re not normally ones for melodrama here at Oi Polloi, butGOODLORD,GETANEYEFULOFTHISMETROPOLIS TRACERY JACKETFROMC.P.COMPANY. History buffs will know this already (and people who've read the item's moniker), but for those that don’t, this is a 21st century reworking of C.P. Company’s beloved Metropolis Jacket. First released in 1998 as part of C.P.’s Urban Protection line, the Metropolis Jacket was at the absolute vanguard of highly-wearable, ultra-technical garments, designed to put up with all the rigors that comes part ‘n’ parcel of city slicking. Now, C.P. has saw fit to bring this absolute behemoth out of the archives, updated with all the bells and whistles the 21st century has to offer, like building it out of an extremely intriguing fabric known only as 'Memri'. According to C.P., this stuff is " a densely woven polyester and nylon micro-fibre canvas, engineered with a crease-retaining surface that's naturally water-repellent". Very nice. Detail wise, there’s more pockets than any sane man will know what to do with and a detachable drawcord hood. It goes without saying, but this is indisputable proof that there’s higher powers at work.
