For a long while we were looking for something that we weren’t sure existed. Something simple, something well made, something that looked like it was found in a dusty corner of an old shop owned by a small, bespectacled man named Pierre. Something a bit like Engineered Garments, but really, really French.
Well, it turns out it does exist, it’s called Arpenteur and it’s even better than our wildest dreams. Founded in 2011, Arpenteur make some of the Frenchest French clothes about, from work jackets to artsy smocks. But don’t worry — the shapes have all been sharpened up to accommodate the weedy arms of modern man.
