The Blog from Oi Polloi presents:

December is usually silly season as far as ‘new clobber’ is concerned – but there’s still a few good bits heading our way before the year is out.

Here’s what we’ve got on the way this month…

It’s been a banner year for brown footwear, and just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we spot these bona-fide beauts from Paraboot.

Slight shades of the old Timberland lug-soled boots, made to the high-standards you’d expect from Paraboot. Classic American flavour, via France… sort of like a garlic-infused hamburger (but a whole lot tastier).

On a similar, high-end tip, some new bits from the mighty Margaret Howell are on the way. As ever, it’s all super-subtle, although saying that – that stripped-back donkey jacket looks set to turn a few heads.

Meanwhile in shiny sportswear news, Reebok have been mining the world’s polyester reserves in search of the ultimate in non-friction garb. Just imagine going down one of those really long silver slides found in 1970s playgrounds whilst decked-out in some of this stuff…

Long-time lurkers might remember some unreal parkas we had a few years back from a mysterious Korean company named Eastlogue. Anyway, we’ve got some more. Not sure if anyone reading this is planning on spending the rest of winter patrolling a hidden military base on a remote Alaskan island, but if they are…
