Pica~Sounds with Russ Marland

Published: Fri Jul 31 2015

Every month we gather in Manchester’s Soup Kitchen (it’s just up the road from our Thomas Street headquarters) for a night of laid-back record-spinning that we call Pica~Sounds. If there was a pub-style chalkboard outside, it would probably say something along the lines of, “Good music, good food and good company.”

Next month’s knees up on Thursday the 13th of August is shaping up particularly nicely, as we’ve enlisted the help of none other than Vinyl Exchange’s very own Russ Marland.

Russ has been working in record shops since way back in 1986, when he worked at Manchester’s near-mythical Spin Inn, and his collection puts most so-called ‘crate diggers’ to shame. So yeah, it’s set to be a good one.

We’ll be there from 6pm. We’ll see you then.
