BEST was a chain of catalogue showrooms that sold kettles, televisions and other such indispensable necessities to the people of North America. Designed by a madcap architect’s agency called SITE (that’s Sculpture in the Environment), the nine BEST buildings make even the notoriously eye-catching Argos in Manchester Fort Retail Park look dull. Only one remains, but thanks to this insightful documentary, even you can bear witness to these mental buildings.
