The Monday Mixtape #17 ‘Red Lazer Disco’ by oipolloi

After a lengthy hiatus The Monday Mixtape series returns…

Kicking things off for 2012, we welcome back onetime Friends & Family face Christian ‘Woody’ Wood… AKA The Nudge… alias Crowhead… now known as Il Bosco. His recent 12 on Fat City combines rave classicism with touches of italo disco, proto-house and electro, among other influences. It’s ace.

However, The Monday Mixtape #17 ‘Red Lazer Disco’ is 1 hour 12 minutes of 70s/80s disco and boogie — an indicator of what to expect from his Red Lazer Disco party, starting on Friday 3rd February at Manchester’s Cord bar. The first session will feature Ruf Dug of Wet Play fame, with Jon K, Mikey Don and yours truly lined up as future guests.

More info on the Red Lazer Disco party here.

Synth-jizz wig and Bootsy-esque star specs optional.

More Il Bosco mixes can be found here.
