The Cottonopolis L’Eroica Race Bike

Published: Tue Oct 15 2013

Anyone who’s been in the shop lately will have already seen this, but for those who haven’t, here it is — the Cottonopolis L’Eroica Race Bike. We teamed up with Le Coq Sportif to come up with the spec, enlisted the steady hand of ultra-talented penman Daren Newman to design the headbadge, and then asked the fine folks at Sargent and Co to put the thing together. The frame was made by a chap from Hounslow called Ken Ryall in the 1960s and it’s been served up with a tasty garnish of Campag, Brooks and Stronglight components. And don’t be thinking this is just some fancy period piece to collect dust in the shop — one of our hapless goons is currently limbering up to race this thing at next year’s L’Eroica race in Italy.

Which brings us nicely onto our new Instagram competition. To mark the arrival of their latest L’Eroica race jerseys, us and Le Coq Sportif are giving you the change to win a bundle of official L’Eroica gear. Just snap a photo of the bike in the shop and upload it to Instagram over the next month with the hashtag #LCSOIPOLLOI and you’ll be automatically entered to win. Best picture wins the prize. Competition ends at midnight GMT on Sunday 3rd November
