Levi’s Made & Crafted is a new division from Levi’s HQ that aims to put a modern spin on their rich history. We know what you’re saying… “Isn’t that what Levi’s Vintage Clothing was for?” Well you’re half right — whereas Levi’s Vintage faithfully recreates archive pieces down to the last detail, Made & Crafted aims to reinterpret these pieces for the modern-day clothes wearer.
For those who stick to what they know, we’ve also got a whole load of Levi’s Vintage that should quell your appetite for archive gems. This time around they’ve fired up their time machine to the 1960s. For a handy reference point, it’s what The Wanderers would wear on a casual jaunt to the seaside.
One of the real standouts is the return of the infamous White Levi’s — these were Levi’s first foray into the world of non-denim jeans, and as well as being the trousers of choice for the Beach Boys were also immortalised by the short-lived girl-group, The Majorettes on their hit song ‘White Levi’s’.
The Levi’s Vintage Clothing 605 jeans a reissue of their hugely popular orange tab superslims from the late 60s. These were some of the first Levi’s to feature the orange tab on the rear pocket, a label devised to indicate Levi’s more casual, youth orientated range.
