Probably, but when you get your hands on one of their roll-neck beauties, you’re likely to agree. Knitted using ultra-heavy pure new-wool, these might have more in common with chainmail than knitwear — not only windproof, but probably harpoon-proof too. Andersen-Andersen describe it as ‘a sailor sweater that can be inherited’, which might be true, but they’re so good we’d rather take them to the grave.
