Like the saying goes — good shoes come to those who wait. And after quite a wait, much speculation and a fair amount of battling with desperate customers, we can finally announce the return of Native Craftworks. Designed here in fair Blighty before being pain-stakingly made by Portuguese perfectionists, although Native Craftworks’ output isn’t quite up there with the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer factory just yet, when you get your feet on these beauts you can see it’s all been time well spent. Stock-wise we’ve got the return of the popular trail shoe, a nifty mocc-toed number known as The Countryman and the Lawrence of Arabia of the desert boot world.

When people rattle on about, “Faithful reproductions of time honoured Americana classics,” these days, it’s usually followed by the sentence, “Lovingly conceived in Tokyo.” Luckily the New Yorkers at Left Field are around to reset the balance with some top notch summer slub t-shirts that are perfect for supping colas at the diner, being sat behind the wheel of a Cadi’ down route ‘66 and pretty much any other American cliché you can think of.

Staying on the Team USA theme, the Gitman Bros. are another brand still flying the Oxford-weave flag for American made goods. Focussing firmly on the humble button down shirt, the Gitman Bros. have been plying their trade at their factory in Ashland, Pennsylvania since 1948 and show no sign of letting up. Using great patterns and a nice, darted fit, there’s no wonder they’re some of the most respected brothers since the Goss twins.
