Remember when we told you that the A.P.C. Wax Mac Chasseur was a French re-interpretation of a British classic? Well it turns out we were well wrong and in fact Barbour nicked the idea for their Beaufort jackets from across the channel in the first place (as they’re more than happy to admit to in their promotional material) when their Chairman Dame Margaret Barbour was taking notes on French shooting-jackets during her forays on the mainland. Every day is indeed a school day and (waxed) hats off to A.P.C. for stealing the idea back with such style.
