A recent write-up in It’sNiceThat put us on to the works of Joseph L Griffiths, an Australian artist now based in Paris. Griffiths’ work is mostly concerned with the relationship between man and machine, manual craft and nature.
The above image is entitled ‘In The Making’ and brought back memories of a past life as a peyote-crazed Apache blanket-weaver, threading together natural fibres like sheep’s wool and fresh cowboy scalp.
Joseph also makes mad drawing machines out of junk-yard bikes and Sharpies. Mr. Brown’s involvement can neither be confirmed nor denied at the time of writing.
