The Simple Man of the Riverbank

Wouldn’t it be nice to be a simple man of the riverbank? To not be restricted by the shackles of the modern age. To desire nothing more than a handful of berries for breakfast and a trout tickled from the stream for dinner. To happily spend a week floating aimlessly on a raft of weathered driftwood. To not have a bank account so therefore not be able to buy fancy outdoor sandals that were made in collaboration with a dead cool shop in Japan only a select few have heard of. Wait a minute… that’d be terrible — give us the consumer dream any day.
