Martin Scorsese's Fell Runner

We’re fully aware that over 40% of all Deck-Outs feature a Taxi Driver reference, but it’s a mint film so pipe down. Anyway, everyone loves Scorsese’s 1976 masterpiece, Taxi Driver, but not many have seen the straight-to-Betamax sequel entitled Fell Runner. Set in the Lake District a few years after the original, it ditches the grit in favour of a classic fish out of water tale. Laugh along as Travis tries to understand the thick accent of Keswick’s farming fraternity, feel your heart race as he races along the fell tops of Cumbria and shed a tear as his faithful sheepdog gets his paw caught in a barbed wire fence. Fell Runner is currently ‘certified fresh’ on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes and Roger Ebert described it as “a rare sequel which surpasses the original in every way.”
