Just back from SXSWi, this (social) media mogul is surfing a tidal wave of web 3.0 success. An early adopter of “sensor-driven collective intelligence”, his digital agency (run from a mobile phone shop in Miles Platting) is rivaling Madison Avenue’s antiquated old-guard. That said, he’s a pretty low-key character, eschewing the trad Ad Man deck-out for something a little less ‘funky’. The only flamboyancy he’s inherited from the heady days of the ’60s? Insistence on a certain kind of secretary – so if you see a super-fit redhead walking down Oldham Road, don’t be dead shocked.
