Dunlop
First introduced by Dunlop Australia in 1939, the Dunlop Volley is a classic, barely changed since that original design.
Tennis player Adrian Quist took Dunlop's popular 'sandshoe' and adapted it with the tennis court in mind, changing the sole pattern to the herringbone pattern seen on boat shoes.
The perfect mix of canvas and rubber brought about a shoe that was durable but more importantly looked rather smart, and it has since sold millions of pairs. The Dunlop Volley was even adopted by the Australian forces.
