Let the countdown commence. 10... 9... 8... steady on! We're not quite there yet, it won't be too long before we up sticks & move round the corner. If that isn't enough for us to be getting on with, we're off on a trip to the smoke this week, to see if we can lay our grubby little hands on some more fine smatta for next winter. Fingers crossed & eyes peeled, we'll report back our findings, as soon as we know what it is we've found...

This week’s a goody, have we got a treat or two in store? First up from the North East it's J. Barbour & sons. If there's one feature that distinguishes Barbour jackets more than any other it's their legendary durability. A Barbour is a true functional classic. They have a worldwide reputation as one of the finest British country casual brands; it's long been a staple for more discerning clothing aficionados on the terraces & Sloane rangers alike. This season sees the rebirth of one of Oi Polloi's favourite all time Barbours... the Dry Fly Fishing Jacket- one of their finest hours. How it could ever have been omitted from their range is beyond comprehension to our tiny little brains. Thankfully it's back & this time it's available in new colourways- with or san hood. Get one before it disappears again.

Next up, more from Barbour... this time with a little help from the brilliant To Ki To (what a combination, almost as good as egg & chips). You'll look a damn site better wearing a To Ki To cycling jacket, we have the ‘near as damn perfect’ waxed one from last season, which we’re pleased they kept in the range, and we've a new version in Navy, just in case you've already got the green one. The other Barbour you need in your collection is the International four pocket bike jacket. The jury’s still out on who did this first, but one thing’s for sure, it was a British company and that's good enough for us. There's now two blocks or shapes available, the trad bigger block for layering up under, or the slimmer-cut block for the gent looking for the more fitted silhouette. We've got loads more good stuff in from Barbour too, check the rest of it in the Barbour section.

The sweaty little Arctic fox is back in town,
Fjallraven
, we've just had our first deliveries for spring. The love for this label runs deep at Oi Polloi, it's one of the first brands we ever stocked. Our relationship began eight years ago (that's longer than some marriages) and the outerwear they produce is above and beyond most other labels. Even though the prices are a little more expensive than when we first started selling it (blame the Euro for that), they still represent amazing value for money and they're almost indestructible, kind of like the Tonka toys of the clothing world. If you're looking for good quality outerwear at an affordable price, in bullet proof fabric (G1000 waxed plotting), this stuff has got your name on it. If you’re looking for a great backpack to go with your new bulletproof, you could do a lot worse than treat yourself to one of their other legendary bits of kit- the Kanken bag (if you’re from Sweden, you already know it pretty well). These simple no-nonsense bags are perfect for everyday use- they're the perfect size for lugging your laptop around. Who would’ve thought? Outdoorsy types inventing the perfect computer bag.

Pointer footwear
just landed, and we've new colourways in the Benson mid-cut boat, the Crago low desert shoe & the new A.F.D. Check... check... check em out.

Only the brave need apply... the white denim Levi’s jacket has landed... you either love it or you’re scared of it (we love it). Get on this vibe quick before some steals your thunder.

We've had some more bits in from Edwin this week, in the shape of the Edwin ED-71, a slim fitting jean in heavy dry unwashed 14oz denim. And we also received the Edwin EC-55 Kita, a 12oz Japanese denim, carrot fit jean, fairly slim in the thigh with a slim tapered leg from the knee down. And we've saved the best til last (not really), but it's an ace t-shirt... the Nautilus striped crew neck (you need this).

Is that enough for you? We haven't got time for anymore, but before we go, keep your eyes on the
SALE SECTION
because some of them prices are going to be dropping again, if they go any lower they'll be under the floor.

Next week it's going to be a biggy. Oliver Spencer, Norse Projects & Folk. Plus the long overdue return of the Polyveldt rambler in taupe nubuck. We don't mess about.

See you next week
