Sanders & Sanders Ltd. was established in 1873 by the Sanders brothers in Rushden, Northamptonshire — an area now known as the heart of fine English shoe making. Since then they’ve gone on to make some of the sharpest shoes known to man, including the classic Playboy chukka. A touch smarter than a Clarks Desert Boot, but still casual enough to be worn with a worn-in pair of jeans, these are presumably the shoes Steve McQueen would buy if he ever wandered in to Oi Polloi.
